How I like to use my lavender oil indirectly with my dogs are when washing their dog bed covers. First, I wash my dog bed covers in the washing machine on a cool water gentle cycle. Then I like to air dry them and fluff them in the dryer. Before I close the dryer door, I put about 4 or 5 drops of lavender essential oil on my wool dryer balls, throw them in the dryer with the dog bed sheets and even a favorite sleeping blanket.
We all know a good bedtime routine is an integral part of raising a healthy child. It helps children fall asleep easier, sleep better and feel healthier. But what about your pets? Is it possible that our pets could benefit significantly as well from a meaningful bed time routine?
Does your pet sleep in a dirty bed? It is possible to think your dog bed is “not that bad” when in fact it could be grimier than you realize? Infections can be passed from pets to people extremely easily. Unfortunately, your pets often come in contact with feces, vomit, saliva, urine and other bodily discharges. Sounds disgusting but it’s true and we should pay more attention to these mostly invisible germs.
But there are some homemade treats my humans make for me that I recommend to all my dog parents out there. Here is the recipe for my favorite homemade dog treat.
