3 Ways to Pamper Your Pet's Paws
We love our pets and we want to keep theirs paws healthy and well. Here's three tips to help you stay on top of your pets paws.
- Check the paws every few days for cracks, sores and snagged nails. Also look for thorns, bits of gravel or blisters. File and trim any broken nails. I like to clip my dogs nails each week just a couple milimeters so it's not a big ordeal. After you are done, gently massage their paws and paw pads, and each toe individually. Spread the toes slightly in the process. This helps promote better paw circulation and creates a wonderful bond between you and your pet.
- Rub some Vitamin E or coconut oil into the pad of their foot, just as you would do to your hands if it was lotion. Rub this into their paw really well so they can't lick it off. It is preferable to do this in the evening before they go to bed so they don't slip and fall on the floor.
- Use a professional product specifically made to moisturize and protect your pet's paws such as PawBalm. This special product not only moisturizes dry paws but it helps heal damaged pawsand provides extra protection from the elements. Pawsthat are dried out can be extremely uncomfortable for our dogs. Paw Balm is known to help soothe, nourish, and comfort irritated and lack-luster paws.
We hope you enjoyed these three tips to pamper your pets paws. Treat them weeky to a paw treatment and both of you will be blessed.
